CEO

Hi I’m Donn and I’m the CEO of Noah’s Ark. I’ve been here since 2011 and love it! In my previous life I was in business where my various roles included Chair of the ACT Taxi Industry for 12 years, operating a fleet of my own taxis, owner operator of a Post Office here in Canberra, and currently a Board Member of Cabcharge Australia. In 2004 I had my own version of a sea change and joined the NFP sector.

Prior to my appointment here with NA I was with Camp Quality as a Manager for 7 years.

Noah’s Ark is a great organisation with high standards and expectations, and a group of Parents who want to be involved in their child’s education. We have an active Board of Management, all Parents, who oversee the operation of the centre, and set the policy direction.

We have a strong culture of caring for the children and my staff is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment with a strong focus on their education.

Manager

Hi, my name is Jan Brennan and I am the Manager, Early Childhood Programs for Noah’s Ark Family and Community Centres. I am responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently met in our Noah’s Ark Early Childhood programs including Playschool and Play & Learn.

My early career was in Management with Advance Bank (now St George). Showing my age!

My career with Noah’s Ark began 13 years ago but my association with Noah’s Ark began 16 years ago when my now 18 year old attended both Play & Learn and Playschool.

I have seen change and growth of Noah’s Ark over the years and am always proud and privileged to be part of the amazing dedicated team that is Noah’s Ark.

Jessica

Director - Long Day Care

Hi my name is Jessica Roberts and I am the Director of Long Day Care here at Noah’s Ark Family and Community Centre.

I am originally from a small country town called Cootamundra and since leaving home have travelled around the world, lived and worked in Ireland and finally settled in Canberra with my husband, daughter and 2 dogs.

I have been in the early childhood industry for 13 years in many different capacities. I started out as a trainee floater completing my certificate 3 in Children’s Services. I then went on to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services while working as a room leader across all age groups.

After working as a nanny in Dublin for 12 months I returned to Australia and completed my Bachelor of Education. I started in the Director’s position here at Noah’s Ark in May 2011 where I work with a fantastic team of management and classroom educators to ensure quality education and care programs for children and their families.

Anita

Bookkeeper

My name is Anita; I am currently employed as the Bookkeeper for Noah’s Ark.  I have been working for Noah’s Ark for 8 years and have enjoyed several roles in this time.  I first came to Noah’s Ark as a Special Education Support Worker, working with some very lovely Children and Staff within the Playschool Program. From there I moved into the role of Customer Service in the Library/ Reception area, which included assisting the Accountant within the Financial Area.  I have been working solely in the Bookkeeper role now for four years, which is a return to my previous background B.C (Before Children).

Noah’s Ark for me, has been a very positive and rewarding place to be. Throughout the many years and the many changes that have taken place during my time with Noah’s Ark, I have been very privileged to work with some great people in a happy and friendly atmosphere and have also had the delight, watching from afar (when I wander out, away from my computer) the children we have in our care here as they grow from very little babies into lively toddlers and pre-schoolers. Even on the most mundane boring days, it’s hard not to think it’s a good day when there is the sound of laughing little children coming through your window.

HR Manager

Hi, my name is Nea Woods and I have been a member of the Noah’s Ark team since June 2004. During this time I have worked as a teacher in the 3 year old Playschool Program and as the Library Customer Service Officer. My current role is as the HR Manager, a position which I have held since the beginning of 2013 and one which has been interesting and rewarding.

Over the past 9 years I have experienced considerable progress and change within the organisation and feel proud to be working with a wonderful Management Team and excellent Early Childhood Educator’s.

Educational Leader

 

Hello my name is Antonella. 

I am the Educational Leader here at Noah's Ark.

I have a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and an Associate Diploma in Social Science; My teaching background stems over 26 years.

I’ve worked in a variety of children’s services in various States and Territories. I endeavour to enrich and work along side with all educators to further develop thier current knowledge, abilities and interest involving Early Childhood education. I support educators incorporate play based learning within our service, by providing a program based on the Early Years Learning Framework in conjunction with The National Quality Framework and National Standards and will continue to work with these to improve quality care and impose sanctions where needed. I look forward to meeting families and sharing ideas, thoughts and input. Together we can make a difference in children’s lives in educating future generations.
