Joanne

Senior Educator

Hi I’m Joanne I have worked at Noah’s Ark since March 2015 as a casual educator where I fill in for the permanent staff. I have recently been employed as the new senior educator for the Wmbats rooms. I love working with young children and watching them grow and develop. It is a pleasure to be part of the wonderful team here at Noah's Ark.

I have worked in education for 25 years in a variety of settings and positions including teaching kindergarten for several years and as a preschool teacher in childcare for over 15 years.

I have a Diploma of Teaching (infants/primary) and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)

My family includes my husband of 25 years and our 2 furry children our dog Charlie and our cat Tammy. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading especially fantasy and historical romance, going to the beach and walking my dog at the park.

Kaori

Assistant Educator

Hello my name is Kaori. I have a Diploma of Early Childhood of Education and Care and have been working at Noah's Ark for the past three years. I believe that learning is happening all the time and it is such a privilege that I can see children achieving their own mile stones. I hope each of the children enjoys spending time with me as much as I do with them.

Hi my name is Alexandra Rees and l have my certificate lll in Childcare. This year l am studying my Diploma.

I have been waiting a long time to be in childcare, as of five years ago l had not long left school and wasn't sure what l wanted to do.

I love music, singing, dancing and playing sport. I'm a huge cronulla Sharks supporter and massively dislikes spiders and heights.

Finally having the job of my dreams has helped put everything in perspective. I love coming to work everyday, helping children grow and learn and seeing new things they like.

I love being a Childcare Educator as it brings me lots of happiness everday. I cant see myself doing anything esle and l wouldnt want to change this opportunity for the world.

Melissa

Senior Educator

Hello my name is Melissa Nash.

I’ve been working in Early Childhood Industry for 20 years now and have experience with children birth to 5 years. In this time I have successfully completed my studies to an Advanced Diploma level.

Starting as an assistant educator many years ago and building upon my education I became a centre director. I enjoyed this role however being a mother as well I found I wanted a better balance between work and home. This is why I love my part time role here at Noah’s Ark covering Senior Educators for non-contact time.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, weekends away and keeping active outdoors.

Dani

Senior Educator

Hi my name is Dani (Danielle),

I currently work part time in a senior educator role, covering Senior Educators when they are absence from the room. I have worked at Noah’s Ark since 2011 I various capacities, while most of the time was spent as the senior educator in the babies room.

I am currently in my 3rd year of a four year degree at uni, studying to be a nurse and paramedic.

My favourite part of working at Noah’s Ark is watching the children grow from babies to string, confident and inspired pre-schoolers ready to make their own footprints in the world.

Also, who doesn’t love playing and creating all day?!
