Playschool - Shepherd Centre Staff

Playschool Teacher

Hi my name is Mary Piris I’m a mother of three and a grandmother.

I have been working with children for over 30 years and working at Noah’s Ark for six years as a Playschool teacher. I am qualified with a Diploma of children’s services.

My passion and interests are Scrapbooking art, Soy candle making, reading, cooking, bush walking, and love spending my weekends with family and friends and my grandchildren. Travelling to new places and countries and experiencing new adventures.

I also speak a second language being Spanish which I use to incorporate in songs and dance and simple words with my playschool children.

Play & Learn facilitator

Starting out as a parent attending Play and Learn sessions, Zoe and her two sons Joshua and Benjamin have been a part of the Noah’s Ark community since 2006.  In 2008, Zoe started Noah’s Ark staff member, where she has been a facilitator of Play and Learn groups herself and can now be found all around the place!  Currently, she is working as a Playschool Assistant at the Shepherd Centre and in Rivett.

Zoe is a resident of the local area and values the community spirit found in Noah’s Ark and the services it provides.  When not popping in and out to lend a hand, she enjoys time with her family.

Her other passions include cooking, reading (cook books) and exercising (due to her obsession with food), but sport (rugby union) is of a particular keen interest and on the weekends the entire Hancock clan can be found attending and watching any number of sporting events.
