Long Day Care

Noah’s Ark Family and Community Centre offers a long day care program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

The advancement of social justice has been a central part of Noah’s Ark's organisational roots since it’s inception over 38 years ago. Our vision statement is to advance social justice by removing barriers and promoting equality and social inclusion through quality early childhood programs.

We believe our educators to be a positive in children’s lives and guiding them through all areas of their development is at the forefront of our programs.

Learning outcomes

Our programs are “play based” and fostered by the Early Years Learning framework which focus on children’s interests, strengths and abilities through the five learning outcomes:

  1. Children have a strong sense of identity
  2. Children are connected to and contribute to their world
  3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  4. Children are confident and involved learners
  5. Children are effective communicators

We believe strongly in collaborations with families to guide children’s learning and development while allowing children the right to just “be” and grow and learn at their own pace. We respect every family as individuals with their own set of values and beliefs which we foster throughout our daily practices.

Day care facilities and staffing

Our long day care rooms are all lead by qualified educators and supported by a number of assistants exceeding the complying legislated educator to child ratio.
