Noah’s Ark offers early childhood programs and services for families in the ACT and surrounding regions.

Long daycare

Noah’s Ark Family and Community Centre offers a long day care program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

The advancement of social justice has been a central part of Noah’s Ark’s organisational roots since its inception over 38 years ago. Our vision statement is to advance social justice by removing barriers and promoting equality and social inclusion through quality early childhood programs.

We believe our educators to be a positive in children’s lives and guiding them through all areas of their development is at the forefront of our programs.

Toy library

Please come in and see our new and improved Toy & Book Library.

Members of Noah’s Ark have access to a wide range of toys and educational resources available to hire from our Toy Library. Each item carries a small hire charge and may be borrowed for up to 2 weeks.
The Library has a wide range of toys, books, games and puzzles specifically aimed at ages 3 months to 5 years. This service enables children to experience many different forms of stimulation to help in their development.

The library, located at Rivett, is accessible to the general public from 9.30am – 4:45pm Monday to Friday.

Yearly Membership is $20.00 per family.

Playschool

The Noah’s Ark Playschool Program is a program for 3-4 year olds. It was the first of it’s kind in the ACT and provides children with opportunities for learning and development and operates at The Shepherd Centre, Nealie Place RIVETT.

Our programs are play based and fostered by the Early Years Learning framework which focus on childrens interests, strengths and abilities through the following five learning outcomes.

We believe strongly in collaborations with families to guide childrens learning and development while allowing children the right to just be and grow and learn at their own pace. We respect every family as individuals with their own set of values and beliefs which we foster throughout our daily practices.

Facilities and staffing

Our long day care rooms are all lead by qualified educators and supported by a number of assistants exceeding the complying legislated educator to child ratio.

Our centre is open from 7.30am-6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks of the year and closed on public holidays and 2 weeks over the Christmas period.
